Said the Siren to the Sailor
Hey lover,
When do I get to see
Those shining eyes,
Those lovely limbs,
Hear that virtuous voice?
When do we get to rekindle
The old flames?
You know I'm lonely, lover,
Why do you stay so far
Just out of reach?
I still have your words, lover,
They'll keep me 'til you step out
Across the waves
Until you swim to my open arms.
When do I get to see
Those shining eyes,
Those lovely limbs,
Hear that virtuous voice?
When do we get to rekindle
The old flames?
You know I'm lonely, lover,
Why do you stay so far
Just out of reach?
I still have your words, lover,
They'll keep me 'til you step out
Across the waves
Until you swim to my open arms.

Instead of being a sad love lost poem it has a light tone. The ending leaves it open ended. Great job on the prompt
oh wow, love it. LOVED reading this, it was lovely!!
What a cool siren song. And a really creative take on the prompt "suspense is caring." Welcome to the challenge! Glad to know you'll be back for more next week. :)
